About K&K Development ApS

K&K Development ApS is a software company that develop Windows™ tools and provide consultancy services for the microcontroller business. The main focus is on the COP8™ microcontroller series from National Semiconductor.

The goal of K&K Development ApS is to ease software development. Our first product, the Windows™ COP8™ Integrated Development Environment, WCOP8 IDE, is an example of this, as it provides the user with many facilities, e.g. compilation and linking by a single mouse click, error handling possibilities, fast access to important files etc., which up to now have not been possible for COP8™ programmers.

The company was founded in 1996 by two Electronic Engineers who saw the need for a way to ease the development of microcontroller software. Talking to both COP8™ developers and National Semiconductor employees took us down the right track and even though WCOP8 IDE has been developed on K&K Development's own initiative we have had regular discussions with National Semiconductor on both functionality and commercial issues.

We would like to thank Siegfried Rüeth and Robert Weiss at National Semiconductor in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany, for good support and feedback during the development period. We also thank Fred L. Taylor II, Rafi Kedem and Hal Gillette at National Semiconductor in Santa Clara, California, USA, for helping us making WCOP8 IDE commercially available.
